  1. #1 - Picture #7 - We all have had these little guys in our backyards before, so this photographer did great at capturing the theme. Great job using aperture to create a lot of bokeh and keeping only the important parts in focus. The photographer did a great job framing in the subject. I love how the main subject shifts your eyes to the left, where you view the secondary subject, which does not take the attention away. Photographer did a great job with the "flow" of the image. There are also some implied left-to-right and front-to-back framing, where the main subject implies the left-to-right line and the secondary implies a more front-to-back framing.

#2 - Picture #8 - This photographer easily captured the theme of "backyards" using insects and plants. I'm big on the way the image is framed and the photographer did a great job using only the right 2/3 of the frame. I also think the way the butterfly is pointed toward the upper-left corner is a great way to direct the flow of the image rather than it being pointed the other way and keeping the flow jumbled up in the bottom right. Photographer did a great job keeping just enough in focus and also having some great bokeh.

#3 - Picture #1 - When I think of a backyard theme, I immediately think three things; nature (plants), animals, and insects. I think this photographer was able to portray the theme with one of the most common backyard animals, the squirrel. This image is very well framed with the main subject bottom right and the secondary subject top left. Your eyes are drawn equally across the entire frame without the image being too cluttered with information.

Thanks for considering me as your judge. I would love to be used in the future sometime. Here is my contact information:
